Join our guided 2 hour tour and explore the Algarve coast while sea kayaking to caves and wild beaches from Armacao de Pera.
You paddle along the coast to reach hidden beaches and 3 to 4 of the nearest sea caves only accessible from the sea.
With your agile 2-seater kayaks you will be able to enter the caves and explore their stunning interior with crystal clear water. Your knowledgable guide will be happy to tell you more about the sea caves and wild beaches, their names, geology and history.
There will also be enough time to relax and explore the wild beaches, far away from the crowds, just you and your friends.
What will you do
Get ready to explore the Algarve Caves and also some other natural treasures hidden along the wonderful Algarve coast.
During 2 amazing hours, we will enjoy a unique kayak tour experience, visiting and exploring the nearest sea caves (about 3 to 4 caves only accessible from the sea) and some wild beaches with unspeakable beauty, without mass tourism, only you.
You will see some fish in the crystal clear waters, you will be dazzled by the interior of the caves where you will explore them and rest in some of the best beaches of Algarve.
Throughout the experience of discovering the sea caves your knowledgeable guide will be happy to tell you more about our culture, the name and history of the caves and beaches, and also with our deep knowledge of geology you will learn about how caves are formed, fossils, and the different layers of aged limestone and maybe we find some hidden treasure of the Algarve coastline 🙂

Here at Moments Watersports Algarve we always have the latest version of water sports equipment. After all, we want to offer you the best!
Guest requirements
We’re really cool, it’s true, but we also have some guests requirements:
- Up to 10 guests ages 5 and up can attend
- Your should feel comfortable in the sea
- Not recommended for people with back and heart problems
- All participants must wear a protective face covering
- It is not accessible to wheelchairs
- Not recommended for pregnant women
- Not recommended for people with hernias
Frequently asked questions
Huuum … Let’s see. If we are going to be in close contact with water, it would be important to bring a bathing suit (we try to be as inclusive as possible but the law in Portugal does not yet allow you to do nudism in outdoor activities…yet). But, you can do the kayak tour barefoot or, if you are a pro (ulálá) you can bring your water shoes.
We don’t want you to look like a lobster, so if you don’t have tanned skin like the locals here (lucky people = D), during the summer it’s best to bring sunscreen.
If you are like us and do you don’t like the cold, during winter it may be better to bring a thermal top. If you want to get even hotter (“It’s getting hot in hereeee”), you can also bring a wetsuit.

The meeting point is at Armacao de Pera beach, behind Holiday Inn Algarve Hotel. We wear a Bright Green T-Shirt and its very easy to identify us. Don’t Forget to arrive 15 minutes at the meeting point before the tour. Just in case you come by car, there is free parking on the right side of the Holiday Inn Algarve Hotel. You can park there, and after you just have to go downstairs to the beach.

No, sorry, just for pros. WE ARE KIDDING :)) There is no need for previous experience, after all, we are not going to run any race. Your guide will give you a brief theoretical explanation and give you all the necessary advice. If you experience any difficulties, he is always there to help.
Although the Benagil Cave is world-famous, believe us when we tell you that it is not the most impressive (yes, you read well!). On this tour we will take you to visit the hidden treasures, secret beaches, we mean, the real hidden gems, without crowds, without tourists, just you! And this is really cool!
Of course, you don’t need to be Michael Phelps but you need to feel comfortable at sea.
Either way, and because we don’t want to do mouth-to-mouth breathing (Erhh) you’ll always have a life jacket, also, our guides are trained at assisting you back onto your kayak so help is usually easy on the hand.
The minimum age for joins us on the Kayak tours is 5 years old. Any person under 17 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We advise families with young children to choose our first kayak tour of the day, instead of other tour.
Yes, it is appropriate to tip the tour guides. If your guide really works hard and you think he gave a great tour, let him know how much you appreciate it!
Our groups are small. We want that the experience becomes truly unique and so you don’t feel like “one more tourist”. We want you to feel like you’re hanging out with a group of friends. If you arrive without a reservation, you may not have a place on the tour.
